Come join us as we sip, taste & share our wine knowledge with you! This is a great event to relax, practice Spanish and learn some tips about wine tasting. Cheers!

Join our wine connoisseur and owner of Marida e Venceras, Xavier Arbués, directly from his wine bar in Santiago de Compostela, for an amazing fun and informative wine experience. Mr. Arbués will give us some important tips on how to taste wine and how to buy the best Spanish wines in the United States. Enjoy a relaxed wine session in Spanish and learn about Spanish wines with like-minded amigos from the comfort of your home.

What to expect:
  • You will learn some important tips of wine tasting.
  • You will learn about the best wine regions from Spain.
  • You will be introduced to different wine and food pairings.
  • You will enjoy a relaxed, informative session with other Spanish and wine aficionados.
About your instructor:

Although Mr. Arbués now lives in Galicia, what he knows most about is Catalan wines (because he was born in a town close to Barcelona). In his store he tries to approach the world of wine from a different perspective, giving importance to wine as a narrator, to what it knows and can tell and to its symbolic power. For example, they do wine tasting with a pianist who translates the aromas and flavors of the wines they taste into music.

Joining an online experience:

Our Wine Tasting Online will take place live via Zoom from a wine bar at the heart of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. We recommend using a laptop or desktop, if possible, to make it easier for you to fully appreciate the event.

Cost: $15 – Free for all online private students and members; you have to be logged in to your account to register for free. Click here to log in.
