Join us on Saturday, February 12 at 3:00 pm for a virtual tour of the special exhibition Banana Craze.
Banana Craze is a unique virtual exhibit on how a natural resource such as the banana has shaped the past and the present of Latin America, and how this phenomena is expressed trough the arts.
Banana Craze brings together almost 100 pieces of contemporary Latin American artists in which the banana is the main feature. We will discuss the social and political -as well as environmental and economic- impact of the cultivation of this fruit in the Americas and its repercussions in contemporary Latin America issues.
The talk will be conducted mainly in Spanish and English will be used just for clarification. All levels are welcome!
