Join us on Saturday, February 5th at 3:00 pm for a virtual Art Talk to discuss beauty and traditions in Spain.
Art Historian Margarita San Ricardo, an art expert graduated from Universidad de Salamanca (one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Europe), will talk about the remarkable works of Julio Romero and Hermenegildo Anglada Camarasa.
Romero (Cordova, 1874 – 1930) captured the spirit of the Andalusian female beautify in his paintings and Anglada Camarasa (Barcelona, 1871 – Mallorca, 1959) lively brushwork reveals strong Oriental and Arab influences while his decorative style draws comparison to Gustav Klimt.
Ms. San Ricardo will talk about beauty, specially female beauty, and Spanish traditions in the Spain of the 19th century.
The talk will be conducted mainly in Spanish and English will be used just for clarification. All levels are welcome!
