Saying of the Day: Lo prometido es deuda

The saying “Lo prometido es deuda” serves as a vow of honor that we’ll keep our promises.

Usamos esta expresión para indicar que tomamos en serio nuestras promesas; tan en serio como si fueran una deuda (debt) de dinero.

También la usamos para recordarle a alguien que tiene que cumplir sus promesas o cuando finalmente se cumplen.

En inglés tenemos el equivalente “My word is my bond”.
