Professional Background: Jorge has over 18 years of experience teaching Spanish as a second language and Hispanic culture. He has taught students of all ages and backgrounds with many different learning objectives. Jorge has developed an effective teaching methodology for Spanish called the Audio-Cognitive method. He holds a B.A. degree with a double major in Psychology and Spanish Literature and a minor in Anthropology from St. John’s University; an M.A. in Hispanic Literature from St. John’s University; and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from Universidad Antonio de Nebrija in Spain. Additionally, he has completed many graduate courses in Philology, Applied Linguistics and teaching methodology. Before launching Easy Español in 2004, Jorge taught at the Instituto Cervantes in New York; at Hunter College High School; and at St. Johns University in New York. He has experience teaching all levels of Spanish from Beginners to Art, Literature and Culture.
Personal Background and Interests: He was born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador and lives in New York City with his wife, daughter and son. Jorge is a U.S citizen and some other passions, besides teaching, include neurolinguistics, Anthropology, History, literature, Zen, traveling, painting, music, politics, cooking and gardening.

Professional Background: Patricia is a skilled language coach with more than 23 years of experience teaching Spanish as a second language. She holds a Master’s Degree in Spanish and Literature from Universidad Central del Ecuador. Patricia has taught students of all ages and backgrounds and her students love her thought-provoking yet compassionate teaching style.
Patricia is the co-author of Español del Mundo, a popular textbook to teach Spanish used in many South American Spanish language schools. She has conducted numerous training workshops and seminars on teaching Spanish as a second language. Patricia is a certified DELE instructor. She has taken on-line professional development courses at the Instituto Cervantes, Easy Español and other institutions. Patricia oversees the academic program of all Spanish online courses and programs.
Personal Background and interest Patricia is married and has two kids. In her spare time, Patricia enjoys cooking, music and spending time with her family. She is also interested in literature, traveling, art and social studies.
Live Online Language Coach/Program Coordinator
Professional Background: Agostina Horni is a Sworn Translator graduated from CAECE University (Mar del Plata, Argentina), and she also holds a minor degree in Technical-Scientific Translation. Her primary academic interests include Spanish and English grammar, Spanish and English translation, particularly technical-scientific translation. Agostina has spent the past ten years tutoring teenagers and adults in both English and Spanish, with a special focus on oral skills and written composition.
Agostina is the program coordinator for the Spanish Online courses and programs and supervises all levels of student support and customer care. She is also responsible for our Web maintenance.
Personal Background and Interests: Agostina lives in Mar del Plata, Argentina. She is a young and hardworking person with an inquisitive mind and an easy-going personality. She enjoys reading mythology (especially Greek and Roman), classic fiction (Austen, Dickens and Brontë), as well as fantasy and mystery novels. She is also interested in Japanese music, language and animation, and is currently learning French.

Professional Background: Andrés is a national guide of tourism in Ecuador and holds a degree from the Universidad de Especialidades Turísticas (UTC), nowadays UDET, in Quito, Ecuador.
With over more than 10 years of experience, he tours the country discussing its history, art, culture, and nature, while always looking for ways to ensure everyone leaves Ecuador with wonderful memories. He’s been trained in the Easy Español exclusive method and has become a patient, knowledgeable and caring language coach.
Personal Background and Interests: He likes to show and promote his country so he’s constantly improving his knowledge of Ecuadorean history and culture. Andrés enjoys reading about geology, ecology, art, and history, as well as travelling and attending cultural events. He is very patient but also very thought-provoking.

Professional Background: Edith is a seasoned language coach with more than 20 years of experience teaching Spanish as a second language. She holds a degree in Education from Indoamérica University and a specialization in teaching Spanish as a second language from Universidad Católica in Quito, Ecuador. She has taught students of all ages whose goals range from religion, art, culture and traveling. Edith is also knowledgeable in English and some German. She is patient, flexible yet challenging, and she always tries her best to help her students fulfill their language goals.
Personal Background and Interests: Edith loves teaching Spanish but she also has a passion for learning new languages. In her spare time, she loves traveling, reading, dancing salsa, playing soccer, playing music and trekking.

Professional Background: Elena has over twenty years of experience in teaching Spanish as a second language. She holds a B.A. degree in Education and a diploma in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language from Universidad Católica in Quito, Ecuador. She has taught all levels of Spanish and is also a certified DELE instructor. Her students refer to her as “the” teacher. She is smart, caring and extremely patient. Elena has participated in several seminars and courses related to teaching Spanish.
Personal Background and Interests: In her free time, Elena enjoys learning and practicing cosmetology and She loves practicing her training on her family and friends. Some other passions include, reading literature, reciting poetry and debating social issues among friends.
Senior In-Person Language Coach
Professional Background: John has had over twenty-five years of experience teaching Spanish and Hispanic Literature mostly to undergraduate and graduate students at the university level. He has a B.A. degree in Philosophy and Comparative Literature from Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia; and an M.A. in Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian Literature from City University of New York; CUNY. He holds a PhD in Medieval Spanish Literature from the City University of New York, CUNY.
John teaches Spanish and Hispanic Literature as an Adjunct Lecturer at Hostos Community College and Medgar Evers College, City University of New York. Prior to CUNY he taught at Yeshiva University and State University of New York (SUNY).
Personal Background and Interests: Born and raised in Medellín, Colombia, John is a U.S. Resident who has lived in New York for twenty years. He loves French and Italian cinema and is an expert on Spanish wine and coffee from all over the world. He enjoys literature, comparative religions, politics, art and good conversations.

Professional Background: Jorge holds one degree In Ecotourism and another as National Tourism Guide graduated from Universidad Central del Ecuador. He also has a proficiency in English from Cendia Institute.
He has about 13 years of experience teaching Spanish as a second language and His last part time Job was as a Volunteers Coordinator at one International NGO located in Quito – Ecuador place where he managed and arranged Social, Cultural & Educational programs for International participants from all over the world. Eventually, He also leads groups of Students from USA universities that come to Ecuador for exploring and learning more about the ecuador Culture and its amazing beatiful touristic places.
He likes teaching Spanish by using real-life needs as well as specific professional language requests. He tends to be very flexible but never forgetting main goal of the language learning.
Personal Background and Interests: He loves traveling, experiencing new cultures and Photography. He also enjoy teaching more about his country and that was the main reason why he decided to study tourism so that He can promote his country from first hand. He loves the Mexican and Peruvian food even when there is no comparison with the ecuadorian food! He feels very proud of his country.
